Our Vision

Salt and Light Academy was born out of a conviction that something is broken in education. Too many children are told to sit still, be quiet, and conform, while parents are left watching their child’s light slowly dim. Children deserve freedom, movement, fresh air, and truth. Most of all, they deserve an education that doesn’t separate knowledge from faith.

Our vision is to create a Christ-centered school where traditional values and Biblical truth guide everything we do. Here, students split their time between indoor class instruction and outdoor discovery, engaging both their minds and their bodies. From barns to gardens to books, every part of our school is designed to nurture the whole child; spiritually, academically, and emotionally.

We see Salt and Light Academy as more than a school. It is a community of families raising up a generation who know God’s Word, walk in integrity, and are prepared for real life. Our vision is for our students to leave here equipped to be leaders, creators, and disciples. Children who will grow into adults ready to be salt and light in a world that desperately needs both.

Academics

Our curriculum is rooted in a Biblical worldview across all subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies. Students experience a healthy balance of indoor classroom instruction and outdoor exploration, learning through books as well as hands-on discovery. We value diverse teaching strategies that engage both the mind and the body, helping each child develop a deep love for learning.

Spiritual Development

Every day at Salt and Light Academy includes time for prayer, reflection, and discussions of faith. Biblical truth is seamlessly integrated into academics, guiding students not only in knowledge but also in spiritual formation. Our goal is to create an environment where children grow in wisdom and character, equipped to walk faithfully with God.

Farm Life

Located on a 290-acre farm, our schoolhouse is surrounded by gardens, bees, chickens, goats, and our beloved miniature Highland cows. Here, students gain hands-on experiences with God’s creation while learning practical skills that come from farm life, from tending animals to making food from scratch. These experiences bring learning to life and connect children to the rhythms of God’s design.

Our deepest desire is to create a better foundation for the next generation to thrive.
