Meet Our Teachers
We’re honored to introduce the dedicated teachers who will be pouring into our students each day. Their love for the Lord and commitment to nurturing young hearts and minds set the tone for everything we do.

Founding Teacher
Mrs. Abbie Hodge serves as a Founding Teacher at Salt and Light Academy, bringing eight years of teaching experience, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and specialized training in gifted and talented education. After years in the public school system, Abbie felt a clear calling from the Lord to step away and use her gifts in a place that aligned with her faith and values. That step of obedience led her to Salt and Light Academy, where she now pours her heart into building something radically different for the next generation.
Abbie is passionate about nurturing the whole child, mind, body, and spirit. In her classroom, she weaves together strong academics with creativity, movement, and hands-on learning, always pointing students back to the truth of God’s Word. Her desire is not just to help students succeed academically but to raise up children who are confident in who God created them to be.
Abbie embodies the core values of Salt and Light Academy and plays a vital role in shaping its culture of faith-filled, real-world learning. She and her husband Trey are proud parents to their daughter Lilly and are grateful to be part of the Salt and Light community.

Founding Teacher
Mrs. Morgan Hill serves as a Founding Teacher at Salt and Light Academy, bringing nearly a decade of classroom experience and certifications in General Education (EC-6), ESL, and the Science of Teaching Reading. She has a strong background in early childhood education and a proven commitment to helping students flourish. After years in the public school system, Morgan felt the Lord leading her to step out in faith and join a school that reflects her deepest convictions, one where Biblical truth, hands-on learning, and the whole child are at the center.
Morgan believes that every child deserves the chance to learn in the way that God designed them to thrive. In her classroom, she combines academic excellence with creativity, movement, and spiritual formation, ensuring her students grow not only in knowledge but also in character and faith. Her passion for ministry and her love for the Lord shine through everything she does, making her an integral part of shaping Salt and Light Academy’s culture.
She and her husband are raising three children of their own, and together they are grateful to be part of the Salt and Light community. Morgan’s joy, dedication, and vision for education make her a gift to our school and to every child who walks through its doors.
