Location: Salt and Light Academy – Howe, TX
Start Date: August 2026 (with summer planning involvement)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (school operating hours 8:15-2:30)
Salary Range: $42,000–$45,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Elementary Teacher to join our growing team for the 2026–2027 school year. This role may be for Kinder-1st grade, 2nd–3rd grade or 4th–5th grade, depending on experience and fit.
This teacher will guide students in both academics and character formation, using The Good and the Beautiful curriculum as a foundation while bringing creativity, ownership, and fresh ideas to the classroom.

Responsibilities
Teach assigned subjects using The Good and the Beautiful curriculum and other provided resources
Foster a warm, nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discipline, and faith
Integrate Biblical truth and Christian worldview into all areas of instruction
Partner with parents and fellow staff members to ensure a consistent and supportive learning experience
Participate in planning and school events that build community and promote the school’s mission
Assist with general school needs. We are a small, close-knit team where everyone pitches in
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (teaching certification preferred but not required)
Prior classroom teaching experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Commitment to ongoing spiritual and professional growth
